Hello Crest Ridge Homeowners and Tenants!
UPDATE: PARKING CHANGES COMING SOON! MAKE SURE THAT YOU HAVE VIEWED THE FEE SCHEDULE TO AVOID UNNECESSARY FINES.
PLEASE STAY TUNED BUT UNTIL THEN, THE GUIDELINES BELOW SHOULD BE FOLLOWED.
We have received numerous complaints about parking.
School buses, utility trucks, emergency vehicles, etc. are having a difficult time passing due to the amount of vehicles lined up on the street, some of which are double parked. We even had the fire department/paramedics out to handle a medical emergency and the vehicles were unable to pass due to cars parked on the streets. As a result, the fire marshal was contacted and visited our subdivision to review the complaint. The report was simple: If we are unable to handle the issues as a community, they will come out and issue citations/tickets to ANY VEHICLE parked on the street, at any time and indefinitely.
Please be respectful of our parking rules in this subdivision; we would rather maintain control of our subdivision parking as opposed to having our homeowners, tenants and guests (including service vehicles) cited. If we lose control of this privilege, we will not be able to regain control when it comes to parking.
In general, here are some rules to abide by, regarding Crest Ridge Subdivision parking:
- Please ask your guests to park in your driveway before parking on the street.
- If street parking is the only option, please:
- PARK ON ONLY ONE SIDE OF THE STREET
- PARK IN THE DIRECTION OF THE FLOW OF TRAFFIC
- DO NOT BLOCK MAILBOXES
- DO NOT DOUBLE PARK; DOUBLE PARKING IS WHEN YOU PARK DIRECTLY ACROSS FROM ANOTHER VEHICLE ON THE OPPOSITE SIDE OF THE STREET. Please note, if you are parking directly across from another vehicle, it makes the street impassable. If you feel you need to park on the opposite side of where cars are already parked, please count two car lengths between yours and the next vehicle as to not restrict others from passing.
- Please be respectful of your neighbors. It is NEVER okay to park in someone else’s driveway without that homeowner’s permission.
SCHOOL BUS SAFETY
Please turn your vehicles off or park away from where the children are standing while waiting for the school bus in the mornings. Idle vehicles release toxic chemicals that are harmful for our children’s young lungs so please be considerate of the students/parents who are standing outside awaiting the school bus.
Also, please be considerate of the vehicles that need to pass before the bus arrives. Do not double park while waiting for the school bus, which makes it difficult/impossible to pass.
Please see the Cobb County Code Enforcement tab for more information.
